SHELTER BOX
Added February 24, 2010 by P Orth
The LMGA will be accepting charity contributions for a "Shelter Box for Haiti" at our table at the 3rd Annual California Only Locations show. The show is presented by FLICS - the Film Liaisons in California Statewide this Saturday, Feb 27 from 2-7pm at 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Century City, CA.
This "Shelter Box for Haiti" drive is organized by the LMGA Philanthropic Committee.
Shelter Box (www.shelterboxusa.org) is an organization that responds instantly to natural and manmade disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. The price of a complete Shelter Box is $1,000 (US). This includes the purchase of new Box items, assembly, warehousing and their subsequent delivery to the site location, (covering transportation, handling, insurance) and standard administrative costs.
If you are unable to attend the event but are interested in donating to the Guild "Shelterbox for Haiti" fund, please contact Philanthropic Committee Co-Chair Kristan Wagner.
