SCOUTS TOUR CASTLE GREEN

Added September 1, 2006 by P Gluck

The magnificent Castle Green, a favorite LA-area filming site, along with Ambassador Locations, invited Location Scouts and Managers to be guests at their annual Summer Tour.J.P. O'Connor

Built in 1898, Pasadena's Castle Green was originally an exclusive resort designed by architect Frederick I. Roehrig. Moorish, Spanish and Victorian influences were combined to create one of Pasadena's most whimsical and elegant buildings. In recent years the hotel has been converted into 50 privately-owned apartments. Over 20 of these stylish spaces were on view for the public as was the recently renovated penthouse.

Often Location Managers are under time contraints when scouting the Castle Green for a production. To be able to stop for a longer time on the tour and literally "smell the roses" was a special treat for all who attended.
