LMGA GREEN EVENT
Added March 2, 2009 by P Orth
The Location Managers Guild of America is facilitating a panel discussion, "Greening Hollywood: Set by Set" on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. The evening will be the first in a series of forums designed to encourage the exchange of ideas and green practices we can implement on the set and to raise awareness of how we can lower our industry’s carbon footprint. Following the presentation and panel discussion, we will all have the opportunity to meet and to relax during a hosted “mixer” with food provided by Gordon Ramsay at The London and organically grown wine by Bonterra Vineyards, and eco-friendly cocktails courtesy of Veev.
The evening will begin promptly at 4:00 PM with a short slide show given by Gretchen Lewotsky, Climate "Jedi" and VP of State & Local Public Affairs and Environmental Operations, Fox Entertainment Group, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Amy Lemisch, Executive Director of the California Film Commission. Tours of the London: West Hollywood will be given by filming contact Julie Lawrence.
Bring your ideas and questions and let's get this party started!
RSVP is essential and first priority for attending the mixer will be given to those who attend the slide show and panel discussion.
