FAMILY NIGHT AT THE SANTA MONICA PIER

Added September 2, 2006 by P Gluck

Kids both big and small were out in force for the Locations “Family Night” held August 13 at the Santa Monica Pier.  The event kicked off with corndogs, hamburgers and ice cream in the big blue tent known as the Party Pavilion, where everyone was outfitted with unlimited ride wristbands and depending on the delicacy of their tummies could decide to eat before or after the rides.  From there it was on to the pleasures of the Park, including the West Coaster, a steel roller coaster that races 55 feet above Santa Monica bay, 21 different midway games, bumper cars, Pirate’s miniature golf, and the Park’s feature attraction: Pacific Wheel, the world’s first solar-powered Ferris wheel, soaring 130 feet above the Pacific Ocean
