The 13th annual California On Location Awards (COLA’s) was hosted by the Pacific Palms Conference Resort in the City of Industry, on Sunday, October 14, 2007. For the first time, the awards event was broadcast live over the internet. The COLA’s are staged each year by the 57 Film Liaisons in California, Statewide (FLICS) and the California Film Commission. The event was chaired by Sheri Davis, director of the Inland Empire Film Commission, Janice Arrington, director of the Orange County Film Commission, and Pauline East, director of the Antelope Valley Film Commission.

The COLA’s honor Location Managers and production companies for their excellence in filming on location in California. Awards are given for work in still photography, commercials, television and feature films. The COLA’s also honor public employees for their hard work in keeping California film-friendly.

Location Team of the year, Episodic TV. CBS CSI NY. Chanel Salzer-Chadock, Justin Healy, Tim Hillman, Mona Nash Mandi Dillin, Assistant Location Manager of the Year Features, with Ed Duffy of Local 399

Prior to the COLA’s beginning in 1995, Sheri Davis envisioned the need to publicly recognize and celebrate the vital contributions Location Professionals bring to the production process. The  vision and guidance of Ms. Davis along with the hard work and dedication of numerous other California film officials have made the COLA’s an industry recognized and respected event.  The nominations for the awards come from the members of FLICS and Location Professionals. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE WINNERS AND NOMINEES

The California On Location Awards concept was developed by some of the
senior FLICS, including (in alpha order) Ray Arthur, Sheri Davis, Kim
McNulty and Joe O'Kane, when FLICS was a state program run by the California
Film Commission (CFC) overseen by Deputy Director Pam Powell.  The first
award ceremony was held at the Queen Mary and over the years the event
became know as the "COLAs".
