BILL BOWLING TO SPEAK AT AFCI CINEPOSIUM

LMGA Board Member To Speak At AFCI Cineposium

LMGA Board Member Bill Bowling will be giving a workshop entitled Building Visuals With Architectural Style at the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) Cineposium. The annual event for member film commissions will be held August 26 – 30, 2007 in Santa Fe, N.M.

Bowling will take attendees on a “virtual scout” of architectural styles as they apply to the film industry. The workshop is geared toward teaching film commissioners the language of architecture in order to better communicate with location managers, scouts and production designers.

Currently a Worldwide Locations Executive for Warner Bros.  Bowling has been a Supervising Location Manager for over 10 years and has traveled or worked in 80 countries. His many credits include the feature films Talladega Nights: the Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Red Dragon, The Hollow Man, The Insider, Enemy of the State, Saving Private Ryan, The Horse Whisperer, and The Fisher King. His Production Manager credits include Rush Hour 2 and Hearts of Stone. He is also a member of the DGA and an Adjunct Professor at UCLA extension in addition to being an official advisor to the Asian Film Commission Network.
